We're looking for a Stock Co-ordinator - Diamonds & Gemstones to join our Birmingham Service Centre, playing a vital role in supporting our repair and workshop operations through the management, sourcing and quality control of diamonds, gemstones and precious metal components.  

About the Role 

This is a unique opportunity for an individual with specialist gemmological knowledge to take ownership of our diamond and gemstone inventory while supporting the efficient delivery of jewellery repairs across our renowned retail brands, H. Samuel and Ernest Jones. 

You'll be responsible for ensuring the workshop has access to the diamonds, gemstones, metals and components required to complete customer repairs to the highest standards. From sourcing replacement stones and maintaining stock accuracy to managing supplier relationships and controlling costs, this role sits at the heart of our operation.  

Key responsibilities include: 

• Colour matching and grading diamonds and gemstones. 
• Sourcing replacement diamonds and coloured stones for customer repairs. 
• Managing and controlling diamond, gemstone and component inventory. 
• Maintaining stock accuracy and supporting stock valuations. 
• Building strong relationships with suppliers and negotiating competitive pricing. 
• Supporting internal jewellers and external repair partners with materials required to complete repairs. 
• Identifying opportunities to improve service levels, stock control and cost efficiency. 
• Ensuring governance standards and inventory controls are maintained at all times. 

About You 

We're looking for someone who combines strong organisational skills with a genuine passion for gemstones and jewellery. 

You'll ideally have: 

• DGA (Diamond Grading Academy) qualification or 
• JET 2 (Jewellery Education & Training Level 2) qualification 

Alongside: 

• Experience colour matching and grading diamonds and/or gemstones 
• Strong knowledge of diamonds, coloured stones and jewellery components 
• Excellent attention to detail and a high level of accuracy 
• Experience managing stock, inventory or purchasing processes 
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills 
• The ability to prioritise workload in a fast-paced environment 
• Good commercial awareness and cost-control focus 

Previous experience within a jewellery workshop, repair environment, gemstone sourcing role or jewellery manufacturing operation would be highly advantageous.
